Medium difficulty trail for more experienced bikers
Description
For a more challenging alternative to the Alpkogel Trail, the Birkhahn Trail is the perfect option. It begins at Switchback 13 of the Faulbrunn Trail, near the Ballunspitzbahn valley station at 1,930 metres above sea level. Riders can access the trail via the Faulbrunn Trail or a service road from the Alpkogelbahn mountain station.
With around 20 switchbacks, fast descents, and a more technical course, the Birkhahn Trail offers the right mix of flow and difficulty. Below the Kopserstraße, it merges into the Alpkogel Trail, making it easy to combine both routes.
With the railway station in Landeck, the Paznaun is optimally connected to the Austrian train network. From Landeck-Zams station, only a short bus ride separates you from the Paznaun. Every half hour, line bus 260 runs from there through the valley. Bus stop: Galtür Wirl/Birkhahnbahn
