Description
This tour starts at the valley station of the Silvrettabahn in Ischgl. Climb into the gondola and ride up to the mountain station at 2,300 m. Continue with the Flimjochbahn. The top station of the Flimjochbahn (2,763 m) is right on the border between Austria and Switzerland. The downhill tour towards the valley follows. The mountain bike trail crosses the hiking trail to Bürkelkopf. Here the bike is parked and the 1.5 km hike to Bürkelkopf (3,033 m) begins. The mountain trail is exposed and technically demanding. The hike should therefore only be undertaken with appropriate experience in alpine terrain and absolute surefootedness. Back at the trail junction, you return to the valley by bike via the challenging Velill Trail.
Tip: The challenging Velill Trail is full of jumps, bends and bridges and is something for all downhill specialists.
Arrival
The autoroute (A12 (westbound) or A14 (eastbound)) leads you to the Arlbergschnellstraße (S 16). At the exit for Pians, turn onto the Paznauntalstraße (B 188) and follow its course into the Paznaun.
