Embedded in a unique mountain scenery, Ischgl presents itself today as a lively hiking village with a centre that is home to numerous hotels and shops as well as the mountain cable cars. Just a few minutes' walk from the centre, you can still feel the charm of the original mountain farming village. An idyllic alpine style village square with a view of the village church invites you to linger.
The route offers a wonderful opportunity to get to know the village and take a journey through time from a historic mountain farming village to a modern touristic centre. The route passes the Mathias-Schmid-Museum, which documents the work of the famous painter and his importance to the region. Continuing along the Zwergerlweg, children can playfully discover nature, making the route enjoyable for everyone. Impressive views of the valley open up along the way.
Arrival
The autoroute (A12 (westbound) or A14 (eastbound)) leads you to the Arlbergschnellstraße (S 16). At the exit for Pians, turn onto the Paznauntalstraße (B 188) and follow its course into the Paznaun.

Public transport
With the railway station in Landeck, the Paznaun is optimally connected to the Austrian train network. From Landeck-Zams station, only a short bus ride separates you from the Paznaun. Every half hour, line bus 260 runs from there through the valley. Bus stop: Ischgl Silvrettabahn
