LEKI Cross Trail-Galtür-1000 vertical metre trail

The starting point for this route is the bus stop „Galtür Tschafein“. The „1,000 vertical metre trail“ starts here in the direction of Sonnenkogel and Friedrichshafener Hütte lodge. After about 200 metres in altitude you reach a fork in the trail. This is followed by a further ascent through steeper terrain up to the top of the hill with several lookout points. Once at the top, there are two options for the way back: either via the road towards the Friedrichshafener
Hütte (2,151 m, possible stop for refreshments) or back via the ascent route.

With the railway station in Landeck, the Paznaun is optimally connected to the Austrian train network. From Landeck-Zams station, only a short bus ride separates you from the Paznaun. Every half hour, line bus 260 runs from there through the valley. Bus stop: Galtür Tschafein
